Overview
The photovoltaic power “Huacas” 8 MW was located in Costa Rica in a relatively flat area with moderate flood risk. Topography and geotechnical surveys were conducted timeliness and costliness. Accurate hydrological and hydraulic calculations drove to a drainage network design able to manage high level of rain. Mounting module structures structural calculations have been carried on in accordance with the client spec. and complying with national and international structural codes.
Design included a short OHTL at 24.9kV to interconnect the plant to the existing distribution network.
