Overview

The 200 MW wind farm project was drawn up in order to determine with accuracy the construction costs in order to bid competitive rates to the national Transmission System Operator (TEIAS).

The project was located in an area subject to pronounced karst phenomena and characterized by a dense presence of sinkholes with extremely poor accessibility areas.

The design is composed of a considerable number of documents as civil works were detailed designed completed of longitudinal profiles and cross sections using dynamic modeling CAD 3D software.

MV collector system cable sizing has been conducted by running the test calculations both in terms of power and in terms of energy considering the Weibull power curves.

The design included AIS step-up substation with two 100 MVA transformers and a 44 km lengths over-head TL including mechanical calculations, and electrical calculations performed by numerical computation software Scilab.
